鈴木直樹 ポップ・スウィングオーケストラ 2023 / Naoki Suzuki Pop Swing Orchestra 2023

一昨日の日曜日は待ちに待った「鈴木直樹 ポップ・スウィング・オーケストラ」本番！

前日もワクワクが止まらなくて、いつもより早起きしました！

受付の準備の間にリハーサル見学の機会をいただいたので、早速緊張しながら覗きに。この本番の空気感！より本番へのワクワク度合いが倍増しました。

開場時間には既に大勢のお客様がいらしていて、皆さんも1年ぶりのコンサートを楽しみにしている様子！気持ちわかる！

そして開演。終わりまで感動が止まりませんでした。素晴らしいコンサート！（写真はリハーサルの時のものです。）

全部良かったから、もう細かく書けないけど、音が素晴らしいのはもちろん、演奏者さんたちの熱意と感情がとても伝わってきました。

ジャズだけでなく、映画音楽や、日本の歌謡曲もあったりして、「め組のひと」はお客様も拍手でリズム参加と会場が一体になって楽しめるのが、とても良かったです。音楽の魔法！山下康介さんの「Eternal Story」もとても美しかったです!

アレンジもよかった！それぞれの曲がさらにキラキラ光る感じでした！特に「銀河鉄道999」が印象的！この曲自体が未来への冒険心と希望にあふれていて大好きなのですが、オーケストラで聞くとより力強くて、本当に勇気と元気をもらえました！（メーテルウウウ！）

それから特別ゲストの山下洋輔さん！曲は「Rhapsody in blue」で、個人的にガーシュインは近代作曲家で一番好きで、この曲が大大大好きなので、聞けて嬉しかった！多分ディズニーのファンタジアで聞いたのが最初で、あの最初のクラリネットからのメロディを聞いた瞬間からゾクゾク！しかも鈴木さんのクラリネット！！ニューヨークの摩天楼と町のひとびとが頭に浮かぶ感じで、これも壮大で元気になれる曲です。楽しかった！山下さんのライブ演奏はお聞きするのは初めてでしたが、山下さんワールド全開で、迫力のある演奏でした！

そしてバンドマスターの鈴木直樹さん。やっぱりこの鈴木さんの表現力と技術力とセンスが素晴らしいのに加えて、その人柄が全てにいきわたっていて、ひとも音楽も良いハーモニーにまとめられる力が素晴らしいなといつも思います。だから鈴木さんの周りにいらっしゃる演奏者さんも素晴らしい！そして周りの演奏者さんが鈴木さんを尊敬されてる気持ちが凄くわかります。

私の音楽が大好きというのは、多分崇拝に近い。そんな訳でコンサートではいつも前の方に座るのですが、今回はさらに鈴木さんの目の前！（だから鈴木さんがスピーチ内容飛んでしまったのかも？！熱量高くてすみません！）

時々、私は音楽家の方よりも、音楽愛が強いかもしれないと思います。音楽を敬愛している。だからこそ、こういう素晴らしい音楽家の方たちをもっと知ってもらいたいし、本物の音楽を多くのひとに知ってもらいたいと強く思う！

テレビに出てるひとや有名なひとばかりが素晴らしい音楽家じゃない。まだ隠れていて、海外と比較しても素晴らしい方はいます。そして本物の音楽を感じてほしい。特に今は簡単に音楽が作られて、すぐに消えていく、そんな時代に見えます。でもそれで感動を作ることはできない。本当に素晴らしいものはそんな簡単にできない。忍耐力がいる。そういう大事なことが忘れられているように見えます。今の音楽が全てわるい訳ではない。好きな曲ももちろんあります。ただ本物の音楽でなければ誰かを感動させることはできない。それはライブの方がより感じることができる。その瞬間にしかないものです。

だからぜひ一度ライブに行ってみてください！演奏者の方とお話しすることもできます。杉並公会堂には親子で鑑賞できるお部屋もあります。そして大抵のコンサートは学割があります。（大学生の頃に知っていれば！！！と思う）なので学生の皆さんにはぜひこの素晴らしい機会を逃さないでほしい！

若い演奏者さんも沢山いるので、ぜひもっと若いひとにこういう音楽を知ってほしい。本物の音楽がなくなってほしくない。本物の音楽は心を豊かにして、想像力を豊かにしてくれる。今の社会問題をつくりだしているのは想像力のなさだと思う。

と最後は私の心の叫びみたいになってまた長文になりました、ごめんなさい。とにかく今回のコンサートも素晴らしい時間でした。

今回会場内の募金で集まった金額は約56万円。たった20分くらいの休憩時間なのに、すごい！他にもコンサート終わりや別途にいただいた寄付がございますので、最終集計金額については改めてご報告します！

終わってからも余韻に浸りつつ、今から次回のコンサートを楽しみにしております！演奏者とバックの皆様、素敵な時間をありがとうございます！

そしてまだ聞いたことない未来のお客様、ぜひ次回はいらしてください!オーケストラは毎年進化を続けています!往年の名曲も良いけど、やっぱり新しいものも創り出していかないといけない。でもただ新しいのではなく、美しくて心に響くもの、楽しさと希望を与えられるものでなくてはいけない。そういう気持ちで取り組まれている点が鈴木さんのオーケストラが素晴らしい理由だと感じます。だからぜひ来てね!

 

On last Sunday, it was the long-awaited “Naoki Suzuki Pop Swing Orchestra” show! I have being excited the day before, so I woke up earlier than usual!

I was given the opportunity to observe a rehearsal while we prepared the reception, so I went to watch with a nervous peek. Felt the atmosphere of the real show! It made me even more excited for the show.

By the time the doors opened, there were already many people at the hall, all looking forward to the concert for the first time in a year! I know how you feel!

And then the show began. I couldn’t stop being moved until the end. What a wonderful concert! (All Photos are of rehearsal.）

I can’t write any more details because everything was so good, but not only was the sound wonderful, but I could really feel the enthusiasm and emotion of the performers. Not only jazz, but also movie music, Japanese songs, and “Megumi no Hito” was so good that the audience could join in the rhythm and enjoy the concert as one with clapping hands. This is the Magic of music! Yamashita Kosuke’s “Eternal Story“ is also very beautiful.

And the arrangements were great! Each song seemed to sparkle even more! Especially “Galaxy Express 999” was impressive! I love this song itself because it is full of adventure and hope, but hearing it with an orchestra made me even more powerful and really gave me courage and energy!

There was a special guest, Yosuke Yamashita! The song was “Rhapsody in blue”. Gershwin is my favorite modern composer, and I love this song so much, so I was so happy to hear it! I probably first heard it in Disney’s Fantasia, and from the moment I heard that first melody from the clarinet, I was thrilled! Besides, this time it’s Mr. Suzuki’s clarinet! It’s another magnificent and energetic song that makes me think of the skyscrapers of New York City and the people of the city. It was fun! It was the first time for me to hear Mr. Yamashita perform live, but his world was in full bloom and his performance was powerful!

And the bandmaster, Mr. Naoki Suzuki. Not only his great expressive power, technical skill, and sense of style, but also his personality pervades everything, and his ability to bring people and music together in good harmony is wonderful. That’s why the performers around him are so wonderful! Then I can understand why the other performers respect him so much.

I love music, but it is probably closer to worship. That’s why I always sit in the front at concerts, but this time I was even more in front of Mr. Suzuki! (Maybe that’s why Mr. Suzuki skipped over the content of his speech? Sorry for my crazy high heat!)

Sometimes I think that I probably have a stronger love for music than the musicians. I adore music. That’s why I strongly wish more people knew about these great musicians, and about genuine music!

Not all people who are on TV or famous are great musicians. There are still people who are hidden and are great compared to the rest of the world. And I want people to feel genuine music. Especially nowadays, it seems that music is easily created and quickly disappears. But that doesn’t make it possible to create an impression. Truly great things cannot be made that easily. It takes patience. Those important things seem to have been forgotten. Not all of today’s music is bad. Of course there are songs that I like. But only genuine music can move people. You can feel that more at a live performance. It is something that can only be found in that moment.

So by all means, go to a live show! You can even talk with the performers. Suginami Public Hall also has a room for parents and children to appreciate the concert. And most concerts have a student discount. (If only I had known that when I was a college student!!!! ), so I urge you students not to miss this wonderful opportunity! There are many young performers, so please let more young people know about this kind of music. I don’t want genuine music to disappear. genuine music enriches the mind and imagination. I think the lack of imagination is cause of creating the problems in society today.

I know I ended up sounding like a cry from my heart, I’m sorry for my long texts agan. But anyway, this concert was a wonderful time.

The amount of money raised through donations at the venue this time was about 560,000 yen. That’s amazing, even though it was only a 20-minute intermission! There were other donations received at the end of the concert and separately, so I will report back on the final tally soon!

We’re still basking in the afterglow after the show, and now looking forward to the next concert! Let me say to the orchestra and support staffs, Thanks for a great time!

And to the future audience, please come to next time! This orchestra keep evolving every year. The gold classic is great but it’s important to create new, progress. But it must be beautiful, able to move hearts and give hope and fun, but not just created. That’s why Mr. Suzuki’s orchestra is great. So please come next time!
